The ‘netball skills day for women’ from the Sikh Education Council follows in the footsteps from our previously held skills days catering to boys and girls. The session will be led and run by an experienced coaching team of netball enthusiasts within the SEC whose aim is to provide a welcoming space to develop netball skills and encourage engagement of Sikh women in sporting activities. We expect a range of attendees from women who have never played netball before to those wanting to pick up the sport again after many years!

All women are welcome from the age of sixteen upwards – non-Sikhs are welcome but are advised that all attendees are expected to fully participate in the Sikh-centred conversation and prayer elements of the day.

Session 1 (South): 1pm-5pm, Sunday 15 September 2024

Session 2 (Midlands): 1pm-5pm, Sunday 22 September 2024

Both sessions will comprise the same elements: an overview of the rules of netball; marking and dodging practice; a fun game; set play; a final game. Complete the form below and be sure to select which session you wish to attend – the South or in the Midlands.

If you would like to volunteer on the day please contact us through our online message form providing as much information as possible including relevant experience.

Please note: this is a women’s-only event, male spectators will not be permitted!
