Our main goal is to undertake educational projects of interest to the Sikh community and of benefit to humanity as a whole. We are a self-funded organisation and have been financing & managing a variety of projects since the early 1980’s. Our major projects at this time are featured below.
- Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Project
A series of events and programmes to celebrate the tri-centenery of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur’s establishment of the 1st Khalsa Raj. - Restoration of Guru Granth Sahib Ji
The SEC worked with The British Library to restore an initial four Guru Granth Sahib Ji birs at a self-financing cost of £16,000. - SachiBani.com
Currently a work in progress, the Sachi Bani website is a ‘Gurbani-only’ media hub for musical, oratory and scholarly content. - British Museum Sikh Fortress Turban
In Autumn 2010, the SEC began to work with staff from the British Museum to display a century old Sikh turban. - Library Books
Sikhs or other interested members of the public have been invited to raise money for a more wide-ranging set of Sikh books to donate to their local library.
